Independent Contractors Needed for support of Linux and Windows Platforms

WavesCo is always looking for independent contractors in the Saint Louis area to assist with the support of our customer base in St. Louis, MO.  In particular we are looking for skilled engineers in Linux and Windows PC and Server platforms.   This is not a full-time position and payment is made on each billable hour.  Much of this work can be done remotely, but onsite work may be required depending upon the client's needs.
 
Duties may include but not be limited to the following:

• Hardware and Software Installation Services
• Documents issues within the problem management system
• Remote and Onsite Technical Support Services for WavesCo Clients
• Systems Administration and Engineering Services for WavesCo Clients
• Provides Escalation services as requiredGeneral Consulting Services
• Maintains established service level agreements to meet customer expectations and quality standards 

 
Requirements

• Strong Linux/Unix system administration skills with understanding of basic network administration.
• Strong understanding of Web-related standards, such as HTTP, HTML, SML, XSLT, and cookie-based SSO.
• Hands-on experience implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting Linux/Unix operating system, Internet-based applications, and web servers.
• Outstanding account management, follow-through and problem solving skills, resourcefulness, attention to detail, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to perform hardware / software upgrades from replacing / upgrading Memory to complete OS installations and bare metal restores.
• Willingness to learn as you go.
